Cinderella Facial
Cinderella Facial.
Before and after photos from a treatment I do that firms skin, and softens wrinkles deep and fine lines. Perfect for a night out on the town, those Holiday parties or class reunions.

The iBrow
A personal obsession of mine, the eyebrow. We tend to give it a last minute thought, pluck a few hairs here and there. Or, ask to be " fit in" for an "arch" at the salon. Leaving us at the mercy of whom ever is available at the moment.
The frames for the windows to your soul, should be cared for and groomed properly!
One lives with a bad " arch" for a very long time. Brow hair can take ages to grow back in, and sometimes simply does not.
There are countless hint's and how to's for grooming ones brows. But, what do you do when you are the victim of a bad waxing experience? How do you get your brow's back to beautiful? My answer- ibrow rehab!. Let's go over what is needed.
Hide your tweezers! you need to let your eyebrows grow.
Brows are hair, use products that will help you get through this time. There are brow moouses, that come in an array of colors. Blinc makes an excellent one.

Strong enough to hold brows in place, this comes in so handy when trying to regrow. You can brush brows over to cover mistakes, and thicken too thinned brows as well.
A brow brush, and some hair spray. Spray the brush and style your brows. Simple, and it works wonders to fluff over the bad parts of a bad arch.
Brow pencils and powders, can put back what you need, until it grows back .Remember you are drawing a hair at a time, not an entire eyebrow.
Patience,this may take a while.
I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about eyebrows.

The Ethics Of Esthetics
How do you choose a qualified esthetician?. Reputation, time in the business, education, work experience, word of mouth?.
Yes, all of those. Ask questions, ask friends, just ask.
Having a good relationship and communication with the person who helps you care for your skin, makes for a far more satisfying results. It is key in getting what you want out of your treatments, and at home care.
Your esthetician should be able to answer your questions easily, suggest product and protocol to enable you to deal with whatever skin issues you may have.

Summer Skin
Summer can be a very stressful season for our skin. Heat produces, sweat, and oil. This can lead to break outs, and other issues. A change in our home care regime can help take care of these issues. Lighter products, cleasnser and moisturiser, will more than likey do the trick.
Sunscreen, look for PABA free, and at least thirty SPF. Do not forget to re apply as needed.
Perfumes and hair sprays often have fragrance that makes us more actractive to insects, take care, especialy at dusk.

What Skin Really needs
What skin really needs.
The body's largest organ is quite the multi tasker. Regulating temperature, ridding the body of toxins, protecting the sub dermis. Your skin has a lot going on, every second of the day.
Basic needs, rest, hydration via water intake, to be cleansed, exfoliated, moisturized.....
Not too complicated. Skin loves routine, so, how do you go about one that works for you.
Normal, oily dry, we grew up being told our skin was one of these. But, no one told our skin that. Our skin thinks it is normal, and goes about it's daily routine. We have spent a lifetime trying to fit our skin into one of these categories. When all our skin wants to do is it's job.
Cleanse, tone, moisturise. The regime most of were told would work.
Cleanser, Dermatologists recommend Dove soap everyday. We are told bar soap is evil incarnate. So are thousands of Doctors wrong?. No, not all bar soap is bad for the skin. Dove, Dermalogica, Erno Laszlo, all make a fine bar product for the face. If it works for you, that is what matters. I would rather see a person use Dove, than just rinse with water. I hear that at least once a week. How that is cleansing the skin is beyond me.
Toner, why? if your cleanser is doing it's job properly, why does it need a second step? Most of them are sensation, basically Witch Hazel. That tight ,close to stinging sensation we have been taught to think " clean " skin feels like... wrong. Forget the toner.
Moisturise, yes please, and one with a SPF. Some are better than others. I will be listing the things you do not want in any skin care products very soon.
Two very important steps, exfoliate, and masque. Once a week, talk about the best anti aging things we can do for our skin. I will go into that in my next post.
Until then, be good to your skin!
